Hailing from the North of Sweden Organic Pulse Ensemble is a modern Spiritual Jazz “Onesemble” in more words the music is directed, composed and played/recorded by only one person. Since the adult age Gustav Horneij has been self taught and played all sorts of instruments, Bass Guitar, Drums, Saxophone, Piano and more. He has been making music for more than a decade and under the alias Organic Pulse Ensemble for about 5 years but “Transcending The Sum” is his first official and so debut album. His music is rich in spirituality and heavily influenced by the magical nature of the place he lives in. In the north days and night don’t have the same values than for the rest of the world, the natural environment itself can also be surreal. “Transcending The Sum” is first about his music and what it represents. Every instrument is played individually and if listened on it’s own won’t have much of an impact but when all these instruments come together it produces a magical effect. The whole album tells the story of a journey in Organic Pulse Ensemble universe. The perfect debut album to introduce his music to the world.
