Presenting Myrthe van de Weetering, a brilliant violinist from The Netherlands. She wrote “Archipelago EP” with Jesse Koolhaas during quarantine earlier in 2020 and is the latest addition to the Urban Waves roster. She picked up instruments early at the age of 5 and since then has loved writing her own music. An avid instrumentalist, while violin is her main instrument, she also plays the piano, cello, bass and even sings. She has an extensive performance career, playing her music for audiences of all sizes. In the last few years she has branched out, writing on various recordings, in addition to releasing her own solo compositions. We are extremely thrilled to have such a talented musician in our roster, and look forward to hearing her forthcoming projects.
