Bacon Lettuce & Tmrw is a jazz album that reflects Ted Taforo’s musical journey and vision. Ted Taforo, a Los Angeles based musician and composer, draws inspiration from the cycle of fourths, a harmonic principle that he learned since childhood. By applying this principle to his melodic shapes, he transforms abstract sounds into conversational expressions. The album showcases his improvisational skills, which are rooted in his study of American music or “jazz” language. He also demonstrates his ability to connect different harmonic zones, creating a rich and diverse vocabulary that adds nuance, depth, emotion, and clarity to his musical communication. The album features tracks such as Dog Dad, Cloud Feelings, and Pizza Dreams, which capture Taforo’s personality and creativity. He invited many musician friends to collaborate on this album, such as Efajemue, Zephyr Avalon, George Silva, Chino Corvalán & Telemakus.
